Job Description
- s the SAP PP/MM Configurator at our company, your primary responsibility will be to configure, stabilize, and continuously improve SAP Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM) modules. You will support a U.S.-based manufacturing and supply chain organization operating across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. Your role will involve owning the functional health of SAP PP and related MM processes supporting planning, production execution, procurement, and inventory operations. You will partner closely with various teams to ensure that SAP configurations produce accurate, reliable system outputs and support efficient day-to-day operations.
- Responsibilities
- Ensure stable and reliable SAP PP and MM processes supporting planning, production execution, procurement, and inventory management.
- Own system-level correctness of MRP runs, planning parameters, and production order behavior.
- Minimize manufacturing and supply chain disruptions caused by configuration, integration, or system dependency issues. Meet or exceed SLAs for PP and MM related incidents and service requests.
- Deliver high-quality PP and MM configuration changes with minimal post-deployment defects.
- Identify and resolve integration issues impacting costing, fulfillment, or financial posting.
- Partner with Master Data Management to ensure configuration and data standards are aligned and support reliable system behavior.
- Maintain accurate, current, and auditable PP and MM configuration and process documentation.
- Support ECC stability while contributing to SAP S/4HANA readiness and migration activities.
Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on SAP PP configuration experience with supporting MM exposure.
- Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing execution, and supply chain processes.
- Solid experience configuring and supporting MRP, production orders, BOMs, routings, and capacity planning.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong knowledge of PP and MM integration points with FICO and SD.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based users in a global delivery model.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain intensive environments.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
- Exposure to WM or EWM, QM, or APO or IBP is a plus. SAP PP and or MM certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on, configuration-focused mindset with the ability to translate business needs into reliable SAP solutions.
