SAP MM Functional Consultant 7+ Years

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Functional Consultant with 7+ years of experience in SAP Materials Management implementation, rollout, support, and enhancement projects. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Inventory Management, Purchasing, and integration with FI, SD and PP modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and support SAP MM solutions based on business requirements.
• Strong hands-on experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
• Configure and support:
  • Enterprise Structure
  • Material Master
  • Vendor/Business Partner Master
  • Purchasing
  • Purchase Requisition (PR)
  • Request for Quotation (RFQ)
  • Purchase Order (PO)
  • Contracts & Scheduling Agreements
  • Release Strategy / Flexible Workflow
  • Goods Receipt (GR)
  • Invoice Verification (MIRO)
  • Inventory Management
  • Physical Inventory
  • Stock Transfer & Transfer Posting
• Configure Pricing Procedure, Condition Types, Access Sequences and Account Determination.
• Good understanding of automatic account determination (OBYC) and integration with SAP FI.
• Work on subcontracting, consignment, stock transport orders (STO), third-party procurement and service procurement.
• Handle batch management, split valuation, valuation classes and material types.
• Analyze business requirements and prepare functional specifications for developments/interfaces.
• Work closely with ABAP teams for reports, enhancements, forms, interfaces, conversions and workflows.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT, defect resolution and production support.
• Prepare functional documentation including FS, configuration documents, test scripts and user manuals.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis.
• Participate in SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade and migration projects.
• Coordinate with business users, technical teams and other functional consultants.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support junior consultants.

Integration Knowledge

Strong integration knowledge with:

• SAP FI – Account determination, GR/IR, invoice verification, material valuation.
• SAP SD – Sales order, delivery, stock movement and third-party processes.
• SAP PP – MRP, production orders, material staging and procurement.
• SAP WM/EWM – Warehouse and inventory processes.
• Basic understanding of SAP QM integration is preferred.

SAP S/4HANA Skills

• Experience working on SAP S/4HANA MM.
• Good understanding of Business Partner (BP) and Supplier integration.
• Knowledge of Fiori apps related to procurement and inventory.
• Understanding of Material Ledger / Actual Costing is preferred.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA procurement best practices and simplification items.
• Experience with S/4HANA implementation or migration will be an advantage.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of SAP MM Functional experience.
• Strong experience in SAP MM configuration and P2P processes.
• At least one end-to-end implementation / rollout experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
• Good understanding of integration with FI, SD and PP.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently handle business requirements and functional issues.

Preferred

• SAP S/4HANA MM certification.
• Experience in SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public or Private Cloud is an added advantage.
• Exposure to Ariba / SAP Business Network is preferred.
• Experience in global rollout projects is a plus.
