An IS4-level professional is generally a Lead Developer or Technical Consultant with roughly 9¿12 years of experience. Core responsibilities include: Technical Design & Leadership: Designing and deploying end-to-end integration flows or complex ABAP solutions; leading technical workshops and translating business requirements into technical specifications. Core Development: Expertise in S/4HANA ABAP, including Workflow, Enhancement Framework, BAPI, and Smartforms. Advanced Technologies: Hands-on experience with modern SAP paradigms such as CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori. Quality Assurance: Reviewing technical specifications, code, and test cases; ensuring high-performance optimization and adherence to best practices. Mentorship: Guiding junior developers and acting as a technical authority for engineering matters. Required Skills & Experience Minimum Experience: Typically 8¿10+ years in SAP, with at least 4+ years specializing in modern environments like CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) or S/4HANA. Technical Proficiency: Backend: ABAP for HANA, Object-Oriented ABAP, and BOPF. Integrations: SAP BTP, Integration Suite, iFlows, and connectivity protocols (SOAP, REST, JSON). Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery cycles. Educational Background: Usually requires a B.E., B.Tech, or MCA.
