Job description
An SAP MM S/4 HANA Consultant specializes in Materials Management within SAPs latest ERP suite, focusing on procurement, inventory, and integration with other modules. This role requires strong functional knowledge, hands-on configuration skills, and experience in end-to-end implementation and support projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation & Configuration
- Lead SAP MM module implementations, rollouts, and upgrades in S/4 HANA.
- Configure procurement processes: purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and scheduling agreements.
- Set up inventory management, stock transport orders, movement types, and automatic account determination.
- Handle subcontracting, consignment, and third-party procurement scenarios.
- Integration & Workflow
- Ensure seamless integration with FI (Finance), SD (Sales & Distribution), PP (Production Planning), WM/EWM (Warehouse Management).
- Configure pricing procedures, release strategies, and flexible workflows.
- Work with IDOCs, interfaces, and file mapping for system integration.
- Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide L2/L3 support for MM-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve incidents quickly.
- Perform system testing, data migration, and go-live support.
- Documentation & Training
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements.
- Deliver user training and create process documentation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align SAP solutions with business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM in S/4 HANA environments.
- Experience with procurement cycles, inventory management, and invoice verification.
- Familiarity with integration points across FI, SD, PP, WM/EWM.
- Professional Experience
- 5 to 12 years of SAP MM experience, with at least one S/4 HANA implementation project.
- Exposure to large-scale support and rollout projects.
- Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
