Senior Consultant| SAP Production Planning | Kolkata

Your work profile

·      Support and lead SAP PP implementations, rollouts, and enhancement projects.

·      Gather and analyze business requirements related to manufacturing and production planning processes.

·      Configure SAP PP module including Material Requirement Planning (MRP), demand management, production execution, and capacity planning.

·      Maintain and configure master data such as BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, and Production Versions.

·      Manage production order lifecycle including creation, scheduling, release, confirmation, and goods receipt.

·      Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with MM, SD, QM, and FI/CO modules.

·      Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP teams for enhancements (RICEF objects).

·      Participate in testing cycles (UT, SIT, UAT), defect tracking, and resolution.

·      Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

·      Conduct end-user training and prepare process documentation.

·      Contribute to improving delivery processes and knowledge sharing within the team.

 

Key skills required

• 6-8 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP).
• Hands-on experience in 2-3 full lifecycle SAP implementations, including rollout and support projects.
• Strong understanding of:
• Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
• Demand Management & Capacity Planning
• Production Order Processing
• Shop Floor Control
• Master Data (BOM, Routing, Work Centers, Production Versions)
• Experience in integration with MM, SD, QM, and FI/CO modules.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (discrete/repetitive manufacturing preferred).
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA PP (PP/DS exposure is a plus).
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and work with technical teams.
• Experience in testing, data migration, and support activities.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and Agile tools (Jira/Confluence) preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder interaction skills.
• Prior consulting/client-facing experience preferred.

Eduaction – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
