Job Description ABAP Developer
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer (minimum 3 years) with strong hands-on expertise in ABAP programming for SAP ECC and S/4HANA. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing solutions across multiple SAP modules, with a focus on leveraging SAP HANA capabilities and supporting business-critical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW objects).
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Have worked on at least one end to end implementation.
- Perform debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of ABAP programs.
- Support data migration activities, including LSMW, BAPIs, and BDCs.
- Work on SmartForms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
- Participate in unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT support.
- Provide production support, defect fixes, and enhancements.
- Document technical specifications and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP and ABAP for SAP HANA.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and data models.
- Experience with SAP development tools such as Eclipse and SAP Web IDE.
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD and their integration points.
- Ability to optimize and enhance performance using HANA-specific features.
- Familiarity with O data Services building for consumption in BTP apps
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 is a plus.
