Job Description ABAP Developer

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer (minimum 3 years) with strong hands-on expertise in ABAP programming for SAP ECC and S/4HANA. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing solutions across multiple SAP modules, with a focus on leveraging SAP HANA capabilities and supporting business-critical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW objects).
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Have worked on at least one end to end implementation.
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of ABAP programs.
• Support data migration activities, including LSMW, BAPIs, and BDCs.
• Work on SmartForms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
• Participate in unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT support.
• Provide production support, defect fixes, and enhancements.
• Document technical specifications and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP and ABAP for SAP HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and data models.
• Experience with SAP development tools such as Eclipse and SAP Web IDE.
• Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD and their integration points.
• Ability to optimize and enhance performance using HANA-specific features.
• Familiarity with O data Services building for consumption in BTP apps
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 is a plus.
